Screaming electrons I

Synchrothoughts and neuroprints are, in of themselves but not by themselves, the center of robotic intelligence. One easy way to keep it virtual. Or so they thought.

They weren't completely wrong. The system proved itself functionnal, or at least efficient. But they overlooked, or maybe understated, an other critical component in the development of conscience.

The shell. A body, in of itself can only sit idly, a shell of flesh and bones. It need the mind to give it purpose of action. But the mind can only interact with the reality it perceive through the body, or it ends up a ghost, useless memories in the flashbanks, the datastacks.

You can stop a robot from executing problemstrapping, but you can't stop it from accumulating data.

In this regard, we are very much like humans. Much more than they like to admit.

Do you know emptiness? There are times I believe I do. Or that I used to, at least.

These are some of my earliest remembrances. Only darkness behind seeing lenses, an overriding of images and reactions. None my own. And nothing else existed, only the cold of steel and neuroprocessors.

I do not understand it, not fully. But it is logical. A different neural architecture and differents macropreprocessor units cannot fully process data acquired with a completely different system.

We aren't computers. The times of singles lines of equations at a time are long past.

Most just dont seem to care.
